The old Gager Lime Company site has remained one
of my favorite
places to photograph.  With a
mixture of Egyptian and Gothic Revival
architecture, it  seems so out of place in this quaint,
isolated valley
, near the University of the South in
Sewanee
.  Its remnants are haunting, of a once
grander past.  In 2002, the site was placed on the
TN Preservation Trust's Most Endangered Site due
to the significance of its architectural styles, history
and sadly, its almost certain doom to crumbling
away.
